Everyone at Trinity is a minister of the Gospel; these are just the ones called to work here.

  • Paul Sartarelli - Lead Pastor

What book has changed you the most (aside from the Bible)?

I readily recommend two books by Henri Nouwen: one had a profound effect on my understanding of leadership (In the Name of Jesus) and one forever altered my view of myself in light of God's love (The Return of the Prodigal).

    What inspires you?

I'm inspired by art in many forms. I can get lost in the Cleveland Art Museum or in the dark confines of a movie theater engrossed in a well-told story. I often get sermon ideas and illustrations from art forms.

What book has changed you the most (aside from the Bible)?

Without a doubt, it's Desiring God by John Piper. I am still processing (many years later) the concept that the things that bring us the greatest joy also bring God the most glory and how we should live in pursuit of that joy.

What is one place you'd like to visit someday?

Alaska. I enjoy living in or near a city, but I love to escape to the outdoors--especially hiking in the mountains. I would love to grab a backpack and a tent and spend some time exploring the beauty God created in Alaska.

What’s something God has been teaching you lately?

I have been learning that when I think I have God all figured out, He proves Himself differently: “Now to him, who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20)

What’s one of your proudest moments?

One of my “proudest” moments was when I made my first big-girl purchase of a couch and love seat; my most “memorable” moment is the first time I had the privilege of sitting with a child as they prayed and made the choice to follow Christ.

    What's your favorite season?

My favorite season of the year is fall. I love the change of colors, the warm sunny days and the crisp cooler evenings. Also, fall is county fair time and anyone who knows me knows I'm crazy about fair time: the sights and even the smells, watching horse competitions and being with my family and my siblings. It's better than Christmas.

What’s something God has been teaching you lately?

God has been teaching me to limit my expectations, take joy in the moment and appreciate God's blessings as they unfold.

    What's your favorite season?

I love autumn. It is a season of change and beauty. Autumn brings with it changes in colors, landscapes, temperatures, activities and food. It brings endings and beginnings. I am in agreement with William Cullen Bryant: Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile.

What's your current favorite TV show?

Call the Midwife is a great BBC production portraying the memoirs of a midwife in London during the 1950s. Heart-felt drama combined with history, personable characters, faith, ongoing storylines, joy, sadness, babies and families! Sigh…

What book has changed you the most?

The Practice of the Presence of God. It's a short collection of letters and conversations from the life of Brother Lawrence. Brother Lawrence felt it was a great delusion to think that the times of prayer ought to differ from other times and that we are to see His glory in every facet of life.

We must merely open our hearts to receive Him and His loving presence, where ever we are, be it in a bustling kitchen or on our knees in prayer.

    What is your favorite season?

I really love experiencing the different seasons in Northeast Ohio. However, I’d have to choose summer as my favorite season. I love cookouts, hiking, golfing and just being outside as much as possible.

What’s one of your proudest moments?

When I consider these, most revolve around my children and husband. My husband's company was recently acknowledged as Business of the Year in our area. He works incredibly hard to provide for his family and create a business atmosphere of respect and integrity. My adult children continue to make me proud in their achievements and life choices.

    What is your favorite season?

Fall is the most wonderful time of the year! Sweaters, football, chili and the gorgeous handiwork of our Creator.

What's one of your biggest challenges?

Trusting that God is who He says He is and walking blindly into what He has called me to do...with joy!

What's one of your proudest moments?

When I see my children allowing God to rule over their lives and when they put others' needs first. Also, becoming a grandma.

    What inspires you?

When I slow down and take time to see what God is doing around me. Birds taking baths, flowers blooming, the smell of fresh cut grass: They show me God has this...I don't need to feel like I have to be in charge...
